What to write about
This site is written alongside teaching and playing, so feedback from practice is genuinely welcome. Corrections are the most useful kind: a mislabelled diagram, a scale with one accidental too many, a chord symbol that ought to be spelled differently in a particular context. Such reports are checked and, where they are right, corrected promptly.
Questions about the topics themselves are equally welcome. If a section stays unclear, that is usually a sign the text needs rewriting rather than a sign the question was too basic. Enquiries about lessons, about using the diagrams in your own teaching, or about collaboration are also answered gladly.
Response times
Emails are normally answered within a few working days. The phone is not staffed continuously; if nobody picks up, email is the more reliable route. There is no automated reply system – every message is read personally.
Using the material
The texts and diagrams on this site are protected by copyright. Using individual diagrams privately or in your own music lessons, with a credit, is unproblematic; for publication on other websites or in printed material, please send a short email first.
